Honor Quietly Unveils Budget Smartphone With Smooth 120Hz AMOLED Display

Honor 600e quietly launches with 120Hz AMOLED display, 108MP camera, and massive battery

Honor has expanded its Honor 600 lineup with a new budget-friendly model, the Honor 600e. Arriving after the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro, this new smartphone is positioned as the most affordable option in the series while still offering several standout features usually expected from higher-priced devices.

The Honor 600e has appeared on Honor’s official Peru website, where the company revealed its full specifications, color options, pricing, and availability details. While the launch was low-key, the phone itself brings an appealing mix of display quality, camera hardware, battery capacity, and storage.

One of the biggest highlights of the Honor 600e is its display. The smartphone features a 6.6-inch AMOLED screen with a sharp 2600 x 1200 pixel resolution. It also supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, making scrolling, gaming, and everyday navigation feel more fluid. Honor has also included an impressive peak brightness rating of 6,500 nits, which should help improve visibility in bright outdoor conditions.

For users sensitive to screen flicker, the Honor 600e supports 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. This feature is becoming increasingly important for eye comfort, especially for people who spend long hours using their phones.

In the camera department, the Honor 600e comes with a dual rear camera setup. The main sensor is a 108MP camera, giving users plenty of resolution for detailed shots. It is joined by a 5MP ultrawide camera for capturing wider scenes, landscapes, architecture, or group photos. On the front, the device includes a 16MP selfie camera for video calls, social media content, and everyday selfies.

Battery life is another strong point. The Honor 600e is equipped with a large 6,520mAh battery, which should offer extended usage on a single charge. The phone supports 45W wired charging, allowing users to recharge faster than many typical budget smartphones. It also includes 6W reverse wired charging, meaning the device can be used to power up compatible accessories or another phone in a pinch.

Powering the Honor 600e is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset. This processor is paired with 8GB of RAM and a generous 512GB of internal storage. For a more affordable model, that amount of storage is a major advantage, especially for users who keep lots of photos, videos, apps, and files on their device.

The phone runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 out of the box. However, Honor has not yet confirmed how many major Android updates or security patches the Honor 600e will receive.

Another interesting feature is the dedicated customizable button, which is also found on the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro. This button can likely be assigned to shortcuts or frequently used functions, giving users quicker access to tools they use often.

The Honor 600e is available in three color options: Desert Gold, Vital Green, and Velvet Gray. In Peru, the phone is priced at PEN 1,999 for the single 8GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration. That converts to approximately €505 or $587, though pricing may vary if the device launches in other regions.

At the moment, Honor has only listed one configuration, but more variants could arrive later if the Honor 600e expands to global markets. With its 120Hz AMOLED display, 108MP camera, huge battery, Android 16-based software, and 512GB storage, the Honor 600e could be an attractive choice for buyers looking for a feature-packed smartphone at a more accessible price.
