Honor is gearing up to bring its flagship MagicPad 4 tablet to global markets, but it’s also making a strong push in the affordable segment. The brand has now quietly introduced a new budget-friendly Android tablet in Saudi Arabia called the Honor Pad X8b, offering a large display, a slim metal design, and a big battery at a wallet-friendly price.
The Honor Pad X8b comes with a metal body that’s built to feel more premium than many entry-level tablets. It measures just 7.25mm thick and weighs 496g, making it easy to carry around for work, school, or everyday entertainment.
Up front, the tablet features an 11-inch IPS LCD display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and 207 PPI, which should be sharp enough for streaming, reading, and browsing. Honor also includes a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations, and the screen is TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light and flicker-free viewing—useful for anyone spending long hours on a tablet.
Powering the Honor Pad X8b is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. While the Snapdragon 680 isn’t new, it remains a common choice for affordable Android tablets designed for daily tasks like video playback, social apps, web browsing, and light productivity.
For cameras, Honor keeps things simple with a 5MP rear camera that includes autofocus and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. On the software side, the Pad X8b runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, giving buyers a modern Android experience out of the box.
One of the biggest highlights is the 10,100mAh battery, which should help the tablet last through long movie sessions, study time, or travel days without constantly searching for a charger. Honor also includes a quad-speaker setup, a welcome addition for people who plan to watch videos, attend online classes, or listen to music without headphones.
The Wi‑Fi model of the Honor Pad X8b has launched in Saudi Arabia in a single Space Gray color. The listed retail price is SAR 849 (around $226), but it’s currently being sold at a discounted price of SAR 649 (about $173). For now, Honor hasn’t shared official details about when—or if—the Pad X8b will be released in other regions.
