Honor has officially confirmed it will unveil the Magic V6 at MWC next week, setting the stage for one of the most talked-about foldable phone launches of the year. As the successor to last year’s Magic V5, the new model is expected to bring meaningful upgrades that target the biggest demands in the foldable market: battery life, durability, and flagship-level performance.
While the Magic V6 reveal is happening soon, early reports suggest the actual on-sale date may come later—especially in Europe. Based on the release patterns of previous Magic V series foldables, a wider European launch could land around July rather than immediately after MWC. In China, however, the Magic V6 is expected to fully debut on March 1, which could mean earlier availability there compared to other regions.
The biggest headline feature is the battery. The Honor Magic V6 is rumored to pack a massive 6,850 mAh battery, which could make it the largest battery ever seen in a foldable smartphone. Battery size has become a major selling point for foldables, where slim designs and dual displays can often lead to compromises in endurance. If this leak is accurate, the Magic V6 may be positioning itself as the foldable to beat for all-day (or even multi-day) power.
Durability is another area where Honor appears to be pushing hard. The Magic V6 is said to include protection not only against water, but also dust and corrosion. For foldable phones—where hinges, moving parts, and thin chassis designs can make durability concerns more common—these additions could be a major upgrade for buyers who want a premium foldable that feels ready for everyday life, not just careful use.
On the performance side, the Magic V6 is expected to use the standard octa-core version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, aiming for top-tier speed and efficiency without any cutbacks. With foldables increasingly competing with the best traditional flagship phones, using a high-end Snapdragon chip is key for multitasking, gaming, camera processing, and running two apps side-by-side on a larger foldable display.
With an official MWC unveiling now confirmed and leaks pointing to a record-sized battery, improved durability, and a flagship Snapdragon processor, the Honor Magic V6 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious foldable phones of 2026. The big remaining questions are pricing, regional availability, and how soon buyers outside China will be able to get their hands on it.
