Hisense is expanding its U.S. TV lineup with the new U7SG ULED Mini LED series, built to appeal to both home theater fans and serious gamers. The range covers six 4K screen sizes—55, 65, 75, 85, 100, and a massive 116 inches—giving buyers everything from a living-room upgrade to a true wall-filling centerpiece.
At the heart of the U7SG lineup are 3840 × 2160 Mini LED panels designed for high brightness, strong contrast, and smoother motion. Hisense says the series can hit up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, powered by its Hi-QLED Mini LED Pro backlighting with large numbers of small LEDs enabling more precise local dimming. That extra control is aimed at improving shadow detail and highlights, especially in HDR content, while also helping the picture stay punchy in brighter rooms.
Motion handling is another major focus. These TVs support refresh rates from 48 Hz up to a native 165 Hz, which should help fast sports, action scenes, and high-frame-rate gaming look cleaner with less blur. For gamers who like to push frame rates even further, Hisense includes a Game Booster mode that can raise the refresh rate as high as 330 Hz when running at lower resolutions. The U7SG series also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, a key feature for reducing screen tearing and keeping gameplay feeling responsive. An anti-reflection screen coating is included as well, improving visibility when sunlight or room lighting would normally wash out the picture.
Color performance is handled through Hisense’s Hi-QLED Color+ system, along with Pantone validation. On the processing side, the TVs use the company’s Hi-View AI Engine Pro, which is designed to analyze scenes in real time and automatically adjust elements like contrast, color, and sharpness to match what’s playing.
Audio capabilities scale with the size of the TV. The 55- to 85-inch models come with a 2.1.2-channel speaker setup rated at up to 50 W. The 100-inch version bumps output to 60 W with the same 2.1.2-channel layout, while the flagship 116-inch model upgrades dramatically to a 6.2.2-channel audio system. Across the lineup, Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X support are included for a more immersive, surround-like presentation.
For smart features, the U7SG series runs Google TV, putting streaming apps, recommendations, and voice-friendly navigation in one interface. Connectivity is also well covered, with four HDMI 2.1 ports for next-gen consoles and high-end gaming PCs, plus a LAN port, two USB-A ports, and an optical audio output for external sound systems.
Design-wise, Hisense goes with a slim unibody chassis and offers different stand configurations depending on the model. The 116-inch and 100-inch versions use width-adjustable stick-style feet, while the 85-, 75-, 65-, and 55-inch models use a height-adjustable bracket-style stand.
Key highlights at a glance include 4K Mini LED panels, up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, a native 165 Hz refresh rate with up to 330 Hz in Game Booster mode at lower resolutions, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Google TV, four HDMI 2.1 ports, and Dolby Atmos support. With sizes reaching up to 116 inches, the Hisense U7SG series is positioned as a high-performance option for buyers who want a bright Mini LED TV that’s equally at home streaming movies and powering high-frame-rate gaming sessions.
