Galaxy M14 5G Receives February 2024 Security Update

Samsung has started rolling out the February 2024 security update for the Galaxy M14 5G’s international variant (SM-M146B). Although the update arrives a tad later than expected, it addresses a substantial number of security vulnerabilities, totaling 72 issues. The latest firmware version for the device is identified as M146BXXS3BXB1.

The update has been released across several regions where the Galaxy M14 5G is available, including India, Iraq, Morocco, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

For Samsung Galaxy M14 5G users who haven’t received the update notification automatically, a manual check can be initiated. This can be done by navigating to the device’s Settings, selecting ‘Software updates,’ and then ‘Download and install’ to initiate the update process. Although the firmware may not be immediately accessible in the firmware databases, it is anticipated to be available for download soon, allowing for manual installation through the Odin tool.

The Galaxy M14 5G is currently on a Quarterly Security Updates schedule with Samsung, indicating that the device receives security patches every three months. The next update is expected to be deployed before the end of June 2024.

With regards to OS upgrades, the Samsung Galaxy M14 5G was updated to Android 14 (One UI 6.0) in December 2023, and based on the company’s update policy, it is scheduled to receive another major update. As such, users can look forward to Android 15 (One UI 7.0) once it becomes available later in the year, following its release by Google.
