Five Xbox Game Pass Titles Are Saying Goodbye This Month

Five Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 31, Including Persona 4 Golden and Against the Storm

Xbox Game Pass is getting another library refresh, and that means a handful of games are about to disappear from the subscription service. Microsoft has confirmed that five titles will leave Xbox Game Pass at the end of the month, giving subscribers only a limited time to play them before they are removed.

The games leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 31 are:

Against the Storm for cloud, console, and PC

Crypt Custodian for cloud, console, and PC

Metaphor: ReFantazio for cloud, console, and PC

Persona 4 Golden for cloud, console, and PC

Spray Paint Simulator for cloud, console, and PC

Once these games leave the Xbox Game Pass library, subscribers will no longer be able to access them through the service. Anyone who wants to continue playing will need to buy the games separately.

This is a normal part of the Xbox Game Pass cycle. Microsoft regularly adds new games to the service while also removing older titles as licensing deals and publisher agreements change. Some games remain available for many months, while others leave sooner depending on the agreement behind each release.

The latest removals come shortly after Microsoft added a fresh batch of games to Xbox Game Pass, giving subscribers more options across console, PC, and cloud gaming. Still, for players currently working through Persona 4 Golden, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Against the Storm, Crypt Custodian, or Spray Paint Simulator, the countdown has officially started.

The good news is that Xbox Game Pass members usually receive a discount when purchasing games from the catalog before they leave. If any of these titles are still on your playlist, now may be the best time to finish them or buy them at a reduced price so you can keep playing after May 31.

With only a few days left before removal, Xbox Game Pass subscribers should check their backlog soon and make the most of these five games while they are still available.
