Exclusive Sneak Peek: Huawei Mate 70 Pro’s Bold Design and Enhanced Camera Features Revealed

The Huawei Mate 70 Pro is a premium smartphone expected to debut with significant updates compared to its predecessor, the Mate 60 Pro. The new device is rumored to feature notable enhancements in camera resolution, both for the main rear and selfie cameras. Additionally, the Mate 70 Pro may incorporate Huawei’s latest AI improvements.

According to recent leaks, the Mate 60 Pro and the upcoming Mate 70 Pro will share a similar design. However, the Mate 70 Pro will distinguish itself with a 6.8-inch quad-curved display, which could offer better bezel control. The camera setup, branded as XMAGE, has been redesigned to resemble a vinyl record with three lenses embedded in it. Whether this new design will be as appealing in real life as it appears in the render remains uncertain.

The main camera sensor on the Mate 70 Pro is speculated to see an upgrade from the 50MP standard in the Mate 60 Pro to 60MP. Additionally, the ultrawide-angle lens might be enhanced to 48MP from the previous 12MP. However, the 70 Pro could retain the 48MP periscope zoom module found in its predecessor. These cameras are also rumored to include new “AI-DC” optimizations, which may explain the presence of two small squares near the new logo positioned at the bottom of the black disk, similar to the flash on the Mate 60 Pro.

The Mate 70 Pro is projected to launch later in 2024, positioning it among other flagship handsets and highlighting Huawei’s ongoing innovation efforts in the smartphone market.
