Edifier G5 Max Wireless Gaming Headset Launches With Up to 305 Hours of Battery Life
Edifier has introduced the G5 Max wireless gaming headset in the US, and its biggest selling point is hard to ignore: an enormous 2,000 mAh battery designed to keep gamers playing for days. The company says the headset can deliver up to 305 hours of playback on a single charge, making it a strong option for players who want long-lasting wireless performance without constantly reaching for a charger.
The Edifier G5 Max is built around large 53 mm titanium-coated drivers that use advanced PEN titanium diaphragm technology. These drivers are designed to deliver clear, detailed, and powerful audio across a wide frequency range of 20 Hz to 40 kHz. Edifier also claims total harmonic distortion is kept below 1%, which should help maintain cleaner sound during gaming, music playback, and movie watching.
For audio quality, the headset comes with triple Hi-Res certifications, positioning it as more than just a standard gaming accessory. Edifier says the G5 Max can reproduce reference-grade sound with strong depth, accuracy, and detail. That could make it appealing not only to competitive gamers but also to users who want a wireless headset for entertainment and everyday listening.
Connectivity is another major feature. The G5 Max supports Bluetooth 6.0 with SBC and LHDC 5.0 codec support, giving users a modern wireless connection for compatible devices. For gaming sessions where low latency matters, the headset can also connect through a 2.4 GHz wireless dongle. This should help reduce audio delay, which is especially important in fast-paced multiplayer games where hearing footsteps, shots, and environmental cues quickly can make a difference.
Edifier has also focused on voice clarity. The headset includes dual ENC microphones along with a detachable 9.75 mm unidirectional microphone. Combined with AI-enhanced voice capture, the G5 Max is designed to keep communication clear during online matches, voice chats, and streaming sessions by reducing unwanted background noise.
Comfort is another key part of the design. The over-ear headset features a 3D pivot-fit structure that is made to adjust naturally to different head shapes. This could make the G5 Max more comfortable during long gaming sessions, especially for users who often wear headsets for several hours at a time.
The headset also supports THX Spatial Audio+ with 7.1.4 virtual surround sound. This feature is intended to create a more immersive soundstage, helping players better identify direction and distance in supported games and media.
Compatibility is broad, with support for PC, Mac, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. That makes the G5 Max a flexible wireless gaming headset for users who play across multiple platforms.
The Edifier G5 Max is available in space grey and white color options. It is priced at $149.99 in the US and is now available through Edifier’s official store and Amazon.
