CRKD is expanding its lineup of compact gaming gear with the Atom+ mini Bluetooth controller, a new model designed for players who want a truly portable gamepad without giving up features typically reserved for full-sized controllers.
The Atom+ follows the earlier Atom keychain-style controller released in 2024, and while it’s slightly larger than its predecessor, it’s still firmly in “palm-sized” territory. Measuring 90mm x 48mm, it remains noticeably smaller than many popular small controllers on the market, making it an easy pick for travel, commuting, or tossing into a bag alongside a handheld gaming device.
What makes the Atom+ stand out in the mini controller category is its dual TMR thumbsticks. CRKD says these joysticks deliver zero stick drift, a premium benefit that’s increasingly important to gamers who’ve dealt with drifting analog sticks over time.
Despite its compact size, the controller doesn’t skimp on functionality. The Atom+ includes triggers and shoulder buttons, motion controls for supported games, turbo mode for rapid inputs, and vibration feedback for more immersive play. It uses a Switch-style button layout and is built to work with the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, but it isn’t limited to Nintendo platforms.
CRKD lists broad compatibility, including PC and PC handhelds, iOS and Android devices, and select smart TVs. Connectivity is handled through Bluetooth, keeping it simple for pairing with multiple devices. The Atom+ is also rechargeable, although CRKD hasn’t shared official battery life figures yet.
For customization, the Atom+ is expected to work with the CRKD companion app, allowing users to tweak settings and install firmware updates—useful for fine-tuning controls and keeping the controller up to date over time.
The CRKD Atom+ will be offered in four color options, giving players a few style choices to match their setup. For anyone searching for a mini Bluetooth controller that’s small enough to carry anywhere but still feels “full-featured,” the Atom+ is shaping up to be one of the more interesting new releases in the compact controller space.
