Citizen has expanded its European watch lineup with four new titanium radio-controlled Eco-Drive chronographs, bringing lightweight construction, solar-powered convenience, and multi-region atomic timekeeping into a sleek 40.5 mm case. The new models are the Citizen AT8390-55E, AT8391-52H, AT8396-59L, and AT8398-53X, each priced at €695 in Europe.
The four watches share the same design, movement, materials, and feature set, with the main difference being the dial color. Buyers can choose between black, white, blue, and green dials, each finished with a grid-style texture that adds depth without making the watch look too busy. The result is a sporty yet refined chronograph that can work well as an everyday watch, a travel companion, or a more technical-looking piece for collectors who appreciate functional design.
Citizen has built the series around its Super Titanium case and bracelet. This hardened titanium material is known for being lighter than stainless steel while offering strong resistance to scratches and daily wear. Despite the full metal bracelet, the watch weighs just 89 g, making it a comfortable option for those who want a full-size chronograph without the heft often associated with steel sports watches.
The case measures 40.5 mm wide and 10.42 mm thick, giving the new Citizen titanium chronographs a relatively slim profile for watches with radio-controlled timekeeping, a chronograph, world time, and a perpetual calendar. The watches also feature a sapphire crystal, a tachymeter scale on the bezel, and an inner city-code ring for world time use. Water resistance is rated at 10 bar, making them suitable for everyday wear and light water exposure.
At the heart of all four models is Citizen’s H804 Eco-Drive movement. As an Eco-Drive caliber, it is powered by light and does not require regular battery changes. Once fully charged, the watch can run for around 180 days, while the energy-saving mode can extend operation to approximately 10 months.
The radio-controlled timekeeping function allows the watch to receive time signals in Europe, Japan, the United States, and China. When a signal is available, the watch automatically adjusts itself for accurate timekeeping. If no signal is received, Citizen rates the movement at an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month.
The H804 movement also includes world time for 26 cities, making these models especially useful for frequent travelers. The perpetual calendar automatically accounts for varying month lengths and leap years, so the date does not need regular manual correction.
For timing duties, the chronograph can measure up to 60 minutes in 1/20-second increments. Additional features include a 24-hour display, power reserve indicator, low-charge warning, antimagnetic protection, and an energy-saving function.
The four new Citizen radio-controlled Eco-Drive chronographs are currently available through Citizen’s European channels, including Germany, where they are listed as in stock with delivery estimated in one to three working days. They are being positioned as part of Citizen’s autumn 2026 collection in Europe.
At the moment, Citizen has not confirmed whether the AT8390-55E, AT8391-52H, AT8396-59L, and AT8398-53X will be released in the United States or the United Kingdom. For now, these lightweight Super Titanium chronographs appear to be focused on the European market.
