Casio G-Shock G-Steel GST-W1000 Series Set for Europe With Sapphire Crystal and Premium Pricing
Casio is preparing to launch its new G-Shock G-Steel GST-W1000 series in Europe, bringing three premium models to the region in November 2026. The lineup includes the GST-W1000D-1A, GST-W1000AD-2A, and GST-W1000D-3A, all of which have now appeared on Casio’s European website ahead of their official availability.
While the watches are listed in Europe, they are not yet available to buy directly from Casio’s regional online store. However, the November release window suggests that sales should begin soon through the official G-Shock online shop and selected retail partners.
Pricing for Europe is expected to start at €779 for the black GST-W1000D-1A and the green GST-W1000D-3A. The blue GST-W1000AD-2A, which stands out with its black ion-plated bezel, is expected to be slightly more expensive at €799.
The G-Steel GST-W1000 series has already started appearing in other markets outside Japan. In Hong Kong, the black and green versions are listed at HK$6,680, which converts to around €750, while the blue model is priced at HK$6,880, or roughly €782. Taiwan is also preparing for launch, with a late-October release and pricing from NT$22,000 to NT$23,500, approximately €600 to €642.
One of the biggest highlights of the Casio G-Shock GST-W1000 series is the new Tough MVT.2 movement. This advanced movement can automatically correct the position of the watch hands if they are disrupted by impact, magnetism, or other external forces. It adds another layer of reliability to a watch family already known for durability.
The series also includes Tough Solar charging, allowing the watches to draw power from sunlight and artificial light. Multi Band 6 radio-controlled timekeeping is included as well, helping the watch maintain highly accurate time by syncing with radio signals in supported regions. Bluetooth smartphone connectivity adds modern convenience, making it easier to adjust settings and keep time updated through a connected phone.
Casio has also equipped the GST-W1000 models with sapphire crystal, complete with an anti-reflective coating. This is a welcome upgrade for buyers looking for better scratch resistance and improved visibility in bright conditions.
The design continues the premium G-Steel identity with a four-component metal bezel. Each bezel section features individually finished surfaces, giving the watch a more refined and technical look. Casio has also hidden the mounting screws, creating a cleaner and more polished appearance while preserving the rugged character expected from a G-Shock.
All three models share the same case dimensions, measuring 50 × 45.5 × 13.2 mm. Each watch weighs 138 g and offers 200 metres of water resistance, making the series suitable for daily wear, travel, outdoor use, and water-related activities.
With a sapphire crystal, solar charging, radio-controlled accuracy, Bluetooth connectivity, and a premium metal design, the Casio G-Shock G-Steel GST-W1000 series is shaping up to be one of the brand’s most attractive European releases of 2026. The combination of rugged engineering and refined styling should appeal to collectors and everyday users looking for a durable watch with high-end features.
