Rogbid Model R5 launches as an affordable Android smartwatch with SIM support, AMOLED display, and 5MP camera
Rogbid has introduced the Model R5, a feature-packed Android smartwatch designed for users who want more independence from their smartphone. Priced at $129.99 during the brand’s 11.11 Shopping Festival promotion, the new wearable combines a large AMOLED display, standalone cellular connectivity, built-in GPS, a 5MP camera, and a sizable battery in a compact square design.
The Rogbid Model R5 features a 2.4-inch AMOLED screen with a sharp 480 x 480 resolution, giving users a bright and clear display for apps, calls, messages, maps, and media. The smartwatch comes in two color options: Cyber Black and Stellar Gold. Its two-tone case gives it a more stylish look, while support for standard 22mm quick-release straps makes it easy to customize.
One of the biggest highlights of the Model R5 is its SIM card slot. Unlike many budget smartwatches that rely heavily on a paired phone, this model can connect directly to a mobile network. That means users can make calls, use apps, receive messages, and stay connected even when their smartphone is not nearby. It can also switch between Bluetooth mode and standalone cellular mode, making it more flexible for everyday use.
Because the Rogbid Model R5 runs Android, users can install apps directly on the watch. This makes it more than a simple fitness tracker. It can handle social media, entertainment, productivity tools, communication apps, and other Android-based functions from the wrist. Powering the device is a W527 chip, which Rogbid says is designed to manage multitasking and graphics smoothly.
The smartwatch also includes a 5MP camera, giving users the ability to take quick photos directly from the device. Rogbid also promotes the camera for QR code payments, adding another layer of convenience for users who want a compact wearable for daily tasks.
For navigation, the Model R5 comes with multi-system GPS and a built-in compass. This should make it useful for walking, running, traveling, or exploring unfamiliar areas without constantly needing to pull out a phone. The smartwatch also has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, offering protection against everyday splashes, dust, and light exposure to water.
Health and wellness features are also part of the package. Rogbid says the Model R5 supports 24-hour health monitoring and sleep tracking, including rest-related suggestions to help users improve their sleep habits. However, the company has not provided full details about the exact health sensors used in the watch.
Battery life is another strong point for the Model R5. The smartwatch is equipped with a 1,350mAh battery, which is larger than what is found in many typical smartwatches. Rogbid claims the device can last a full day on a charge and can be fully recharged in about 80 minutes.
As part of the launch offer, Rogbid is including extra accessories with early orders. Buyers receive a stainless steel strap, a leather strap, and a pendant chain at no additional cost. The pendant chain allows the Model R5 to be worn around the neck, giving users another way to carry and use the device beyond the traditional wristwatch style.
At $129.99, the Rogbid Model R5 is positioned as an affordable Android smartwatch for buyers looking for standalone connectivity, a large AMOLED display, app support, GPS navigation, and camera functionality without spending flagship smartwatch money. The company has not confirmed how long the promotional launch price will remain available.
