Bluetti Unveils Charger 2: A 1,200W Car-and-Solar Smart Energy Hub for Power Anywhere

Bluetti has rolled out its newest Charger 2, a unified car-and-solar smart energy hub designed for drivers, RV owners, campers, and off-grid users who want much faster charging without complicated installation. The launch also arrives alongside Bluetti’s latest Elite-series power stations (Elite 100 V2 Bio-based Edition, Elite 300, and Elite 320), expanding the company’s lineup for portable power and backup energy.

Built as the direct successor to the earlier Charger 1, the Bluetti Charger 2 focuses on two big upgrades: higher output and a more advanced charging design. The standout improvement is its dual-input architecture, which can pull power from a vehicle’s alternator and solar panels at the same time. By combining both sources, Bluetti says the system can deliver up to 1,200W total output—making charging dramatically quicker than conventional car setups.

In real-world terms, Bluetti claims the Charger 2 can be up to 13 times faster than charging from a standard 12V car outlet, and nearly twice as fast as the last-generation Charger 1. That performance boost is especially important for larger battery systems: a 1kWh unit can be recharged in under an hour with the Charger 2, while a typical 12V cigarette-lighter socket can take more than 10 hours to refill the same capacity.

Compatibility and installation are also a major selling point. Like the Charger 1, the Charger 2 is designed to work with most third-party portable power stations. Even better for existing users, Bluetti says the Charger 2 uses the same wiring infrastructure as the Charger 1—so owners can swap in the new main unit without needing to redo cables or start from scratch.

For powering devices and accessories, the Charger 2’s DC hub includes a DIY-friendly 12V/50A Anderson port, plus USB-A, USB-C, and cigarette-lighter DC outputs. Bluetti rates it for up to 600W of stable DC power, enough to handle many higher-demand setups common in vans and RVs—such as diesel heaters, LED lighting systems, Starlink terminals, and car refrigerators.

Just like Bluetti’s power stations, the Charger 2 also supports app-based monitoring and control. Users can check real-time status, manage outputs, and review energy history through the Bluetti app, making it easier to track usage on the road or during off-grid trips.

Additional features round out the Charger 2 as a vehicle-focused energy tool. It’s designed as a plug-and-play, RV-ready system and includes bi-directional reverse charging. It also offers vehicle battery maintenance modes, including an emergency jumpstart mode rated at 800W, along with trickle charging (100W) and pulse maintenance (100W) for keeping a battery healthy when the vehicle isn’t in regular use.

Pricing for the Bluetti Charger 2 starts at $499 for the standalone unit, while the system bundle is listed at $599. As part of its launch promotion, Bluetti is offering the Charger 2 for $349, with the discounted price available through February 7.
