BenQ is doubling down on displays made specifically for Apple users, and its newest option is now officially up for grabs. After being introduced last month, the BenQ MA270S monitor has received its full pricing and availability details, giving Mac owners a new 5K alternative designed to feel right at home alongside macOS.
The BenQ MA270S is available to pre-order now through the BenQ official website and Amazon with a suggested retail price of $999. BenQ is also running a pre-order promotion that takes 20% off the purchase of a second unit, which could be especially appealing for anyone building a dual-monitor setup. The same second-unit discount also applies to BenQ’s PD2730S 5K monitor during the promotional period.
Positioned as a Mac-focused monitor, the MA270S is built around a 27-inch Nano Gloss panel with true 5K resolution (5120 x 2880). BenQ says the goal is to deliver the kind of sharpness, color accuracy, and seamless day-to-day experience Mac users typically expect from a native Apple-style display. With up to 500 nits of brightness, the screen is tuned for clear visibility in bright rooms, offices, and studio environments.
Color performance is a key part of the pitch. The panel covers 99% of the P3 color gamut, a popular standard for modern creative workflows, and it supports a 2000:1 contrast ratio for richer highlights, deeper shadows, and crisp detail. BenQ also notes that the MA270S matches macOS’s native pixel density of 218 pixels per inch, which should help make text look cleaner and fine UI elements appear more natural—an important detail for anyone who spends long hours reading, editing, coding, or working in design apps.
Connectivity is another area where the MA270S aims to fit neatly into a MacBook-centric setup. The monitor includes two HDMI ports, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, and a Thunderbolt 4 connection. Thunderbolt 4 supports up to 96W power delivery, which is enough to charge most MacBook models while running the display, reducing desk clutter and making a one-cable setup far more realistic.
On the ergonomic side, BenQ includes a 150 mm adjustable stand with tilt, pivot, swivel, and height adjustment, helping users dial in a comfortable viewing position whether the monitor is used for creative work, productivity, or general everyday use.
With a $999 price tag, true 5K resolution, Nano Gloss display tech, Mac-friendly pixel density, and Thunderbolt 4 with laptop charging, the BenQ MA270S is clearly aimed at users who want a premium 27-inch monitor optimized for macOS—especially those considering a clean, high-resolution upgrade or a matching dual-display workstation.
