Battlefield 6 players using NVIDIA graphics cards finally have some good news. The development team has released Game Update 1.4.1.5, a new patch aimed at fixing a frustrating driver crash issue that has affected some PC players, especially those using RTX 50 series GPUs.
The problem had been troubling players for nearly two weeks. Reports suggested that certain Battlefield 6 setups with RTX 50 series graphics cards were crashing during gameplay, with maps such as Tsuru Reef being frequently mentioned. Because the crashes appeared to be tied to NVIDIA drivers, players were previously advised to roll back to driver version 596.49 as a temporary workaround while the developers investigated the issue.
With the release of Update 1.4.1.5, Battlefield Studios appears to have addressed several causes behind the crash. According to the patch details, the issue was not linked to just one specific trigger. Maps featuring large bodies of water were already known to be part of the problem, but the update also points to other factors, including custom search behavior and a weapon attachment bug.
One of the more unusual causes involved the SOR-300SC carbine. Players changing attachments on this weapon were reportedly able to trigger NVIDIA driver crashes in Battlefield 6.
