Ball Watch Company is adding a fresh new option to its performance-driven Roadmaster lineup with the release of the Roadmaster Perseverer, a tool watch that leans into a modern retro-vintage aesthetic inspired by 1970s watch design. Built for everyday wear but designed with rugged capability in mind, this new model blends classic styling cues with practical features that are meant to perform in real-world conditions.
At the heart of the Roadmaster Perseverer is a 40 mm stainless steel case, with a reported thickness of around 12 mm (0.47 inches). The finishing is designed to stand out without being flashy: a brushed treatment across the top and sides for a purposeful tool-watch look, paired with polished edges that add a more refined, premium touch. It’s fitted with an integrated 904L stainless steel bracelet that flows cleanly into the case and secures with a folding buckle, reinforcing the watch’s sporty, streamlined profile.
The dial keeps things clear and functional, featuring applied hour markers, hour/minute/second hands, and a date window positioned at 3 o’clock. One of the biggest highlights, though, is how the watch handles visibility in darkness. Instead of relying on traditional lume paint found on many watches, the Roadmaster Perseverer uses H3 gas tubes on the hands and dial. These tubes are designed to glow automatically in dark and low-light environments, offering consistent readability without needing an external light “charge.”
Powering the watch is the Ball RR1103 automatic movement, which can be viewed through a transparent sapphire crystal case back—an appreciated detail for anyone who enjoys seeing the mechanics at work. Ball also includes an amortizer anti-shock system to help protect the movement, supporting the Perseverer’s identity as a hard-wearing tool watch rather than just a style piece.
Durability is further backed up with magnetic and water resistance ratings aimed at daily reliability. The watch offers 4,800 A/m gauss magnetic resistance, along with 100 m (330 ft/10 bar) water resistance, making it suitable for everything from routine wear to more demanding environments where exposure to water and everyday impacts is a concern.
Pricing is set at £1,670, and the Ball Roadmaster Perseverer is available to buy now directly from Ball Watch Company. Buyers can choose from three dial colors—navy blue, ice blue, and black—each delivering a slightly different personality while keeping the same retro-modern Roadmaster identity.
