Asus ROG NUC 16 Gets a Cheaper Intel Core Ultra 7 Model With RTX 5060 Graphics
Asus has expanded its ROG NUC 16 lineup with a more affordable configuration aimed at gamers who want a compact desktop without paying flagship-level prices. The new version of the 3-liter gaming mini PC is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 graphics, giving buyers a lower-cost entry point into the ROG NUC 16 family.
The biggest highlight is the price. This new Asus ROG NUC 16 configuration is listed for preorder in the US at $2,499, making it $1,300 cheaper than the higher-end model equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and RTX 5080 graphics. Asus has also offered an even more expensive special edition with RTX 5090 graphics, but that model starts at a much higher $5,999.
With the new Core Ultra 7 and RTX 5060 version, Asus appears to be targeting gamers and creators who want strong performance in a small form factor without stepping into ultra-premium pricing. While it will not match the raw power of the RTX 5080 or RTX 5090 models, the RTX 5060 should still be capable of handling many modern PC games, especially for users who prioritize compact design, efficient hardware, and a clean desk setup.
The new ROG NUC 16 also keeps several appealing specifications from the rest of the lineup.
