ASUS is already building anticipation for a new wave of Republic of Gamers (ROG) products, and the company has made it clear that CES 2026 will be the stage where it reveals “what’s next in ROG gaming.” While the official launch is still next month, ASUS has been steadily dropping teasers that hint at a much bigger refresh across its lineup.
After previewing upcoming devices like a new Zenbook Duo and a special ProArt PX13 variant, ASUS has now shifted attention to what appears to be a brand-new ROG gaming desktop tower. For now, the company isn’t saying whether this is simply a standalone PC case or a complete prebuilt desktop system. However, considering how ASUS has handled past ROG desktop releases, there’s a strong chance this new reveal is more than just a chassis.
What ASUS is emphasizing instead of specs is a new lighting-and-display feature called AniMe Holo. The company’s teaser highlights this visual element multiple times, making it the centerpiece of the announcement so far. AniMe Holo looks like a fresh evolution of the AniMe Matrix-style displays previously seen on certain ROG Zephyrus gaming laptops, but adapted for a desktop tower format.
The big twist is how it appears to work. Rather than a traditional flat LED panel, AniMe Holo seems to use a persistence-of-vision effect—an optical illusion technique that can make images appear to move in midair or look animated as your viewing angle shifts. In other words, ASUS is leaning into a more “living” aesthetic for its next gaming tower, aiming for a futuristic look that feels more dynamic than standard RGB lighting or static case displays.
As of now, ASUS hasn’t confirmed technical specifications, internal hardware options, pricing, or an exact release date beyond its CES 2026 timing. Still, the focus on AniMe Holo suggests the next ROG desktop generation may be designed to stand out visually just as much as it performs—especially for gamers and creators who want their PC to be part of the room’s design, not something hidden under a desk.
More details are expected when ASUS takes the wraps off its next-gen ROG lineup at CES 2026.
