Aqara has officially launched the Thermostat Hub W200 in the United States, bringing a new all-in-one option to homeowners who want smarter climate control and a more connected smart home. First shown at CES 2026, the W200 is designed with Apple Home users in mind, but its Matter support aims to make it a flexible choice across many modern smart home platforms.
At its core, the Aqara Thermostat Hub W200 is a 4-in-1 wall-mounted smart thermostat that doubles as a smart home hub. It features a 4-inch touchscreen for quick access to temperature controls and smart home functions, and Aqara says it works with most HVAC systems, making it a practical replacement for a wide range of existing thermostats.
One of the biggest selling points is its support for Apple’s Adaptive Temperature and Clean Energy Guidance. These Apple Home features can help optimize comfort and efficiency by adjusting heating based on predicted or detected occupancy, and by factoring in cleaner energy availability. To make this automation more reliable, the W200 includes an integrated mmWave presence sensor that can detect human presence more accurately than basic motion sensing. That same sensor is also used to wake the display automatically when someone approaches, so key controls and information are ready when you need them.
Beyond temperature control, the W200 can also serve as a small smart home command center. Aqara notes that it can be used to view a live video stream from a compatible connected camera, such as a video doorbell, adding extra convenience for entryway monitoring without needing to reach for your phone.
Connectivity is another area where the W200 is built to fit into modern smart homes. It supports dual-band Wi‑Fi, Thread, Zigbee, and Matter, helping it work as both a thermostat and a bridge for other devices depending on your setup. It’s also designed to integrate smoothly with popular Apple hardware including iPhone, Apple Watch, HomePod, and Apple TV.
Pricing and availability are straightforward. The Aqara Thermostat Hub W200 is available now in the US for $159.99 through Aqara’s online store and Amazon. Aqara also says the Aqara Thermostat Hub W200 Matter Kit will arrive in September 2026 at Apple retail locations for $169.99.
