Apple is gearing up to revolutionize the next generation of iPad Pro models by introducing significantly smaller bezels. While the recent OLED iPad Pro models were a remarkable upgrade, they still featured relatively thick bezels compared to rivals like Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and the OnePlus Pad 3.
Exciting leaks suggest that the future iPad Pro will boast ultra-thin bezels, eliminating the notch entirely thanks to cutting-edge display technology. Insider tips hint at bezels as thin as those on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, with Apple planning to utilize in-display sensors to achieve this sleek design.
Apple is expected to employ LG’s chip-on-film (CoF) technology in future iPad Pro models, paving the way for noticeably slimmer bezels. Although the current M4 variant already offers a sleeker look than past models, the forthcoming updates promise even more strikingly thin borders.
However, these slimmer bezels won’t hit the market immediately, as Apple recently refreshed its iPad Pro lineup. The M4 models are notably thinner, especially the 13-inch version, measuring just 5.1mm. While the M5 iPad Pro is set for release later this year, it will retain the existing design with minor aesthetic tweaks, such as repositioning the Apple logo for a landscape orientation.
Mass production for the next iPad Pro is slated to begin soon, signaling a potential launch earlier than anticipated, possibly alongside the release of the M5 MacBook Pro. Despite initial reports suggesting a 2026 release, the timeline may be accelerated. Keep an eye out for more updates on the exciting design changes coming to the iPad Pro.
