ANTONBLAST: Retro Platformer Release Pushed to December

Indie game lovers, there’s news on the horizon! The much-anticipated, hand-animated retro platformer, ANTONBLAST, is seeing its release date pushed back slightly. Originally set to launch in November, fans of the Wario Land-inspired game will now have to wait until December 3rd for its debut. The game will be available on Windows PC and Nintendo Switch, with the Switch version getting a short-lived exclusive window before rolling out to other platforms.

The delay may be disappointing for some, but the team at Summitsphere, led by Studio Head Tony Grayson, is committed to delivering the highest quality experience for players. Adverse weather conditions, specifically Hurricanes Helene and Milton, have had a significant impact on the development timeline. The devastating storms have not only affected the area where the studio is based but have also disrupted some team members’ ability to work due to extended power outages.

But, fear not; there’s something to tide you over! To compensate for the delay, Summitsphere is releasing the “One Blast Demo” on PC as part of Steam Next Fest from October 14th to the 21st. This exciting sneak peek will introduce players to an enhanced Boiler City and the brand-new Slowroast Sewer level. The team is also working hard to make this demo available on the Nintendo Switch pending the necessary approvals.

Tony Grayson expresses his gratitude for the support from fans and promises that the delay is to ensure the game is polished to perfection. Summitsphere is eager to bring ANTONBLAST to players as soon as possible, and they thank everyone for their understanding and patience. Keep an eye out as the countdown to launch day begins, and dive into the demo to get a taste of the adventure that awaits!
