Anbernic has kicked off the new year with enthusiasm by unveiling a refreshed version of its popular RG34XX gaming handheld, just a month after its initial release. This latest iteration comes as no surprise given Anbernic’s track record of launching a new device every month throughout the previous year.
The RG34XX boasts impressive hardware features, including an Allwinner H700 chipset, 1 GB LPDDR4 RAM, and a 3,500 mAh battery. Its display stands out with a 3.4-inch IPS screen offering a resolution of 720 x 480 pixels and a 3:2 aspect ratio, complementing its Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity.
The recent adjustment to the RG34XX is purely aesthetic, taking inspiration from the Game Boy Advance’s iconic design. Anbernic has introduced a ‘Glacier’ color variant reminiscent of Nintendo’s own GBA models. Although this newer version sports a whiter shade compared to Nintendo’s blue-tinted Glacier, it remains an attractive addition for retro gaming enthusiasts.
