Anbernic RG Vita Pro Unveiled: Official Video Showcases Performance and New Specs

A newly re-uploaded official video has revealed much more about the Anbernic RG Vita Pro, giving handheld gaming fans a clearer look at what the device can do ahead of launch. The footage doesn’t just highlight gameplay performance—it also confirms key features and specs, including a notable dual-operating-system setup.

The video was first uploaded a few days ago, then quickly taken down before being spotted and discussed by early viewers. Now that it’s back online, it paints a more complete picture of the RG Vita Pro and positions it as a more advanced option than the standard RG Vita.

One of the biggest takeaways is that the Anbernic RG Vita Pro is a dual-OS handheld. According to the video title and description, it will ship with Android 14 alongside a 64-bit Linux operating system. That’s a meaningful upgrade over the non-Pro RG Vita, which comes with a single operating system and runs Android 12. The video even shows both interfaces in action, including separate home screens for Android and Linux.

Gaming performance is also front and center. The RG Vita Pro is shown running several PS Vita titles, including One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2, Adventures of Mana, and Gravity Rush. On the Android side, the device plays modern mobile games such as Punishing: Gray Raven and Snowbreak: Containment Zone, suggesting it’s being positioned for both emulation fans and players who want a dedicated Android gaming handheld.

Beyond that, the video demonstrates PS2 gameplay as well, with titles like Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Neo Contra, and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. For retro enthusiasts, the RG Vita Pro is also presented as capable of emulating a wide range of classic systems, including Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 64, and GameCube, plus PlayStation One and Sega Dreamcast.

Anbernic also highlights extra flexibility features that many handheld buyers look for today. The RG Vita Pro can stream games from a PC and connect to an external display for multiplayer play, which could make it appealing for living-room sessions as well as portable gaming.

While exact pricing and a release date haven’t been confirmed yet, Anbernic says the RG Vita Pro is “coming soon,” so official availability details should follow shortly. What is confirmed is the hardware lineup: a 5.5-inch touchscreen with a 1920 × 1080 resolution, Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, DisplayPort support up to 1080p, and a 5,000mAh battery. The handheld will be available in two colors: Black and White.

With dual-OS support, PS2 and PS Vita gameplay shown off, broad retro console emulation, and modern connectivity features like Wi‑Fi 6 and DisplayPort, the Anbernic RG Vita Pro is shaping up to be one of the more versatile upcoming handheld gaming devices for players who want both classic emulation and Android gaming in one pocketable system.
