AMD Unveils Ryzen 5 9600X3D with 3D V-Cache and Introduces Ryzen 9000 PRO Lineup

Exciting developments are on the horizon for AMD enthusiasts, as the company gears up to introduce the much-anticipated Ryzen 5 9600X3D, Ryzen 5 9600, and Ryzen 9000 PRO desktop CPUs. These new entries have recently been confirmed through the latest driver updates.

Among the standout offerings is the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X3D, an entry-level option within the Ryzen 9000 lineup that promises to make the latest Zen 5 and AM5 platforms more accessible to gamers. Boasting 6 cores, 12 threads, and 2nd Gen V-Cache technology, this CPU packs a hefty 96 MB of L3 cache, ensuring impressive gaming performance at great value. It is expected to mirror the TDP and clock settings of the Ryzen 5 9600X.

Joining the lineup, the Ryzen 5 9600 has been circulating among System Integrators (SIs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Featuring 6 cores, 12 threads, clock speeds of up to 5.2 GHz, and 32 MB of L3 cache, this CPU operates at a 65W TDP. Although primarily targeted towards OEMs, wider availability in the DIY market might be just around the corner.

The Ryzen 9000 PRO series also adds intrigue, with four new models: Ryzen 9 PRO 9945, Ryzen 7 PRO 9745, Ryzen 5 PRO 9645, and Ryzen 5 PRO 9400. These chips, yet to be confirmed as part of the “Granite Ridge” design, hint at a robust next-gen lineup.

The launch timeline suggests that the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X3D could make its debut in the DIY market between late Q3 and early Q4, following its initial release through SIs. Additionally, the upcoming Ryzen 7 9700F will soon add more excitement to the Zen 5 action on the AM5 platform.

With these releases, AMD is setting the stage for another leap in desktop CPU performance, catering to both gaming enthusiasts and professionals alike. Stay tuned for more updates as these products creep closer to their release dates.
