Amazon Sets European Launch Date for Kindle Scribe and the Colorsoft Edition

Amazon is finally bringing its latest note-taking Kindles to Europe. After debuting in late 2025 and spending the past few months on sale in the US, the Kindle Scribe (3rd Generation) and the new Kindle Scribe Colorsoft now have official release timing and pricing for both the UK and Germany.

The launch date to circle is April 8, when the Kindle Scribe with Front Light is set to arrive in Germany and the UK. This model upgrades the Scribe experience with a larger 11-inch display and a refined writing feel, aiming to make reading, annotating, and handwriting notes more comfortable on a bigger canvas.

In Germany, the Kindle Scribe with Front Light starts at €519.99 for 32GB, rising to €569.99 for 64GB. In the UK, Amazon has confirmed a starting price of £449.99 for the base version, though pricing for the 64GB configuration hasn’t been shared yet.

For readers and note-takers who want color, the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft is also coming to both countries with an 11-inch glare-free color display designed for a paper-like look while adding the extra flexibility of color content. Germany will see the 32GB model priced at €649.99 and the 64GB model at €699.99. Two finishes are planned: Graphite and Fig, with Fig reserved for the 64GB edition. In the UK, the Colorsoft begins at £569.99, while the 64GB price remains unannounced.

Both devices include a battery-free premium pen in the box, plus extra replacement tips, so you can start writing right away. One thing to note: you’ll need to supply your own charger.

With the release date now set for the UK and Germany, European buyers who have been waiting for Amazon’s newest Kindle Scribe options—especially the color model—won’t have much longer to wait.
