Akupara Games Expands Indie Publishing Lineup With Pixeljam and Behold Studios
Akupara Games is growing its indie publishing catalog with two new partnerships, bringing veteran studios Pixeljam and Behold Studios into its expanding lineup. The move will help introduce several beloved indie games to new platforms while giving modern players a fresh chance to discover titles that helped shape the indie gaming scene.
Both Pixeljam and Behold Studios have long histories in independent game development. While they may be best known among dedicated indie fans, their games have earned loyal followings thanks to creative design, nostalgic charm, and memorable gameplay. With Akupara Games now stepping in as publisher, these studios’ catalogs are set to reach wider audiences.
Behold Studios is bringing several fan-favorite titles to the partnership, including Chroma Squad, a tactical RPG inspired by classic superhero team shows. Known for its clever strategy gameplay and playful tribute to colorful action series, Chroma Squad remains one of the studio’s standout releases. Also included is Out of Space, a chaotic co-op survival game where players work together to manage a house in space while dealing with alien threats and limited resources.
Pixeljam’s lineup adds even more variety to Akupara’s publishing portfolio. The studio’s catalog includes Dino Run DX, Grid Ranger, Last Horizon, Snowball!, and Cheap Golf. Each title reflects Pixeljam’s distinctive style, blending retro-inspired visuals with creative mechanics and fast-paced gameplay.
In addition to its existing catalog, Pixeljam is preparing to launch two new games: Cornhole Hero and Dino Jump. Both titles are scheduled for release on July 23, giving fans more to look forward to as the studio continues expanding its collection of quirky and accessible indie experiences.
Akupara Games CEO David Logan shared his excitement about the partnerships, comparing the announcement to the nostalgic feeling of discovering games during childhood. He said the chance to publish titles from Pixeljam and Behold Studios feels like a trip down memory lane, while also offering a new generation of players the opportunity to experience these games for the first time.
With these new publishing agreements, Akupara Games continues to strengthen its role in the indie gaming space. By working with established developers and bringing older favorites to new audiences, the publisher is helping preserve important indie titles while supporting fresh releases from experienced creators.
